2019 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup Player Preview: Hanna Zavecz

Matt Paton says Hanna Zavecz is “perfectly suited” to the shortened format of the game, as she prepares for this weekend’s Asia Cup.

Zavecz has a slew of 3×3 experience, appearing in the last two NBL 3×3 Pro Hustles, other 3×3 events across Australia and the recent national selection camp.

Paton believes that knowledge of the shortened format, along with Zavecz’s attributes as a tall, makes her a vital piece to the Asia Cup team.

“You can’t replace experience and I think she brings that,” Paton said.

“She knows what she is good at, she knows what her teammates are good at and she has the ability to make those around her better.

“Something she does that stands out in a game is rebounding and defending, she is versatile and is able to defend multiple positions in the five-on-five game, which makes her perfectly suited to 3×3.”
