Melbourne Basketball Festival Returns

Melbourne City Slam will be returning for the second year in a row, and will celebrate basketball culture in the biggest four-day festival to date. 

Thanks to Presenting Partner, City of Melbourne, the summer festival will again take place on Melbourne’s iconic Southbank, the event will include 3×3 tournaments for all skill levels, open shoot-arounds, FREE basketball clinics, dunk competitions, NBL and WNBL player appearances, and more. 

This high-energy, fun-filled event will bring 3×3 action to new heights, with a DJ and dance crews in attendance across the four days to set the vibe. 

“This 3x3Hustle basketball festival was a hit last year, in the most iconic and central position in the city of Melbourne. We are so excited to bring it back this summer and provide a day full of action-packed basketball for families and people of all ages to enjoy,” Head of 3x3Hustle, Jaele Patrick said. 

“This SLAM event will have something for everybody, whether you’re walking along Southbank and want to watch some crazy 3×3 basketball tournaments, or make a day of it and participate in the multiple activations, with prizes up for grabs.”

Lord Mayor, Sally Capp states “We can’t wait to welcome thousands to the Australia 3×3 Hustle in Southbank this year.

As the sporting capital of the nation, we are proud to host inclusive events like this that help promote health and wellbeing to people of all ages and abilities.

The 2023 Melbourne City Slam starts on Saturday, December 16, and will continue until Tuesday, December 19 at Queensbridge Square, Southbank.
