2024 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup Gangurrus Announced

Players for the Women’s and Men’s squads participating in the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup have just been announced.

Starting on March 27 to March 31 in Singapore, Australia will be represented by star NBL and WNBL players.

Former NBL legend Damon Lowery will once again lead the Women’s side, with the full squad of last year’s bronze winners, Alex Wilson, Anneli Maley, Lauren Mansfield, and Marena Whittle.

Wilson (Bendigo Spirit), Maley (Perth Lynx), and Mansfield (Adelaide Lightning) come off the back of a WNBL season, whilst Whittle played her most recent season in Spain.

David Biwer will lead the Men’s side with a fresh face to debut. William Hickey of the NBL’s Illawarra Hawks will join teammate and 3×3 veteran Todd Blanchfield, along with Centre of Excellence’s James O’Donnell, and NBL1 West’s Josh Davey from Lakeside Lightning.

The action starts with the Men’s team going up against Tahiti and Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday, March 27.

Whilst the Women’s squad will first face New Zealand on Saturday, March 30.
