Women Perfect On Day Two Of World Cup

Australia’s winning streak continued on day two of the FIBA 3×3 World Cup, as the women’s team defeated Andorra and Switzerland in their opening pool stage matches.

The squad of Bec Cole, Alice Kunek, Maddie Garrick and Keely Froling were far too strong for both their opponents, with the final score against Andorra being 22-9, while they swept past Switzerland 20-14.

A Froling two-pointer secured the win against Andorra, as the Aussies wasted no time getting their World Cup campaign off to a positive start.

They followed that up against Switzerland, who provided Australia a test at times, before the Aussies prevailed.

Australia’s next challenge comes against Japan (June 22 at 12:25am AEST) and France (June 22 at 3:05am AEST), as they conclude their pool stage matches.

The men are back on court on June 21, against Latvia (12:25am AEST) and Japan (3:05am AEST).
