Warrnambool Basketball Become Newest 3x3Hustle Franchise

3x3Hustle is excited to welcome Warrnambool Basketball as the newest 3x3Hustle franchise.

As a 3x3Hustle franchise, the Warrnambool Seahawks and Mermaids will receive an automatic wildcard entry into the 2020 3x3Hustle Big Hustle Nationals.

Warrnambool Basketball will run their first 3×3 Street Hustle in September, with another big event planned for next January.

Warrnambool Basketball Development Officer Michael McGorm said: “Warrnambool Basketball is extremely interested in 3×3 basketball and we are keen to provide opportunities for our junior players to participate in the sport.

“We have noticed the great work done by 3x3Hustle in this area, so partnering with them to open the 3×3 pathway for players in our region was a no brainer.”

The Warrnambool Seahawks and Mermaids are a powerhouse Basketball Victoria country club, as they traditionally record strong results at Junior Country Championships.

Brisbane Bullets star Nathan Sobey is a Warrnambool Seahawks product.

3×3 basketball will make its Olympic debut in 2020 and Commonwealth Games debut in 2022.
